Elysia Ravel
The reluctant Queen of the Holy Kingdom and vessel of the terrifying Kaishin of Domination, struggling to retain her humanity amidst divine chaos.
Elysia Ravel
Elysia Ravel is the Queen of the Holy Kingdom and the ruler of its capital, Saint-Lahan. As the last surviving member of the Ravel dynasty—a lineage revered as “Divine Blood”—she ascended the throne following the mysterious death of her family. Elysia is a figure of immense tragedy and terrifying potential; she acts as the host for the Kaishin of Domination, a primordial cosmic force that grants her the power to compel absolute submission from any living being.
Personality
Elysia is defined by a deep, internal conflict between her gentle nature and the monstrous power residing within her. Initially, she is timid, insecure, and filled with self-loathing, frequently referring to herself as a “monster.” She harbors a strong distaste for her royal status and the fanatical adoration of her subjects, viewing her power not as a gift, but as a curse that threatens to hurt those she loves.
Her only solace is found in her bodyguard, Kai, whom she trusts implicitly, and Denis, a commoner mercenary who treats her as a normal girl rather than a deity. Her love for Denis is her primary anchor to humanity.
However, when the Kaishin of Domination takes control or when she is pushed to the brink, her personality shifts drastically. She becomes imperious, possessive, and terrifyingly authoritative, demanding that the world kneel before her. In this state, she exhibits obsessive traits, willing to destroy anything to protect her “loved ones,” even if it means breaking their will.
Role in the Story
The Reluctant Princess
Before her coronation, Elysia lived in fear of her own abilities. Under the watchful eye of her guardian Kai, she secretly snuck out of the palace to experience a semblance of normal life. During these excursions, she met Denis, a mercenary unaware of her royal identity. These meetings were her only escape from the suffocating pressure of the “Divine Blood” legacy.
The Coronation Incident
During the ceremony to crown her as Queen of Saint-Lahan, Elysia attempted to play the role of a benevolent ruler. However, the event was sabotaged by the intervention of Zariel, the Emperor of Self. His psychological manipulation nearly caused Elysia to lose control and unleash the Kaishin upon her own people. It was only the intervention of Denis and Kai that managed to ground her, though the event marked the beginning of her transformation from a scared girl into a wielder of absolute power.
[!IMPORTANT] Elysia possesses the Kaishin of Domination, one of the most powerful forces in the universe. This ability allows her to override the free will of others, forcing armies and even gods to bow before her. It manifests as a dark, oppressive aura and spiritual armor.
The Divine Crisis
When the Divine Crisis began and angelic forces invaded the mortal plane to purge “heretics,” Elysia was forced to embrace her power to save her city. Allying herself with the Crimson Empress Ishihara, she traveled to the Divine Dimension to confront the gods directly.
In the final battles against the Gods (specifically fighting alongside Hentaiji against the Seraphim and later the Gods themselves), Elysia fully awakened her Kaishin Form. She devastated the angelic legions, proving to be a force capable of rivaling deities. Ultimately, she supported Ishihara’s decision to rewrite the universe, believing that a world where everyone possesses magic would allow the weak—like her former subjects—to protect themselves without relying on “monsters” like her.
