Elaric

Elaric is the current Lord Regent of the Kingdom of Velltrain. A man of great seriousness and tactical mind, he was a close confidant and loyal servant to the late King Edward IV. Following the King’s passing, Elaric assumed the responsibility of ruling the kingdom until Prince Alaric comes of age.

Personality

Elaric is characterized by his stoicism and unwavering commitment to the crown. Unlike many in the Council who seek to manipulate the young prince for their own gain, Elaric genuinely attempts to mentor Alaric into a capable and just ruler. He often finds himself frustrated by the Prince’s impulsive nature and the blatant corruption of officials like Chancellor Orvin Talvest.

Role in the Story

In the early chapters of the Kings Arc, Elaric is seen navigating the treacherous political landscape of the Kronmark Palace. He issues critical decrees to stabilize the kingdom, including the declaration of a state of emergency and the mobilization of the Royal Guard, all while trying to keep the ambitious Chancellor Orvin in check.
